I'm coming in on this discussion late, sorry - I'm still a few digests
behind. How quickly one can get behind in this group!!!

I think you're misinterpreting previous comments slightly. I for one am
quite interested in medium format projection, and though I do shoot some
B/W, I do mosly color slides.

I think the projection comment was referring to that it is more difficult to
project in medium format, simply because you cannot go out and buy a used
TDC to do it.

I have done projection of 6x6 stereo - I use two projectors, and mount
the slides in GePe 6x6 mounts. I bought one projector for $150, and a
second for $6 (!). The focal lengths don't match exactly, so I need to
set on a few inches closer than the other. They're manual, so changing
images is a little slower. But it works!

One problem is that the hand viewer I use (I made my own) uses the cardboard
mounts I sell, so I have to choose between projection and hand-viewing
when I mount.

MF stereo reminds me of the quote from "Dune" about the spice melange:
it gives with one hand and takes with the other". Image quality can
be spectacular, but the lack of off-the-shelf equipment requires
a committment in terms of flexibility, hacking, etc. from those who
become addicted to it.

Joel.
