Thank you to all the folks that suggested a remote flash. I have a remote
flash trigger that I can use on just about any flash unit. I will give it
a try and report back.
Is it worth it? Yeah I think so! It is not a Realist, and most can agree
that a Realist is in the top 10% of 3D picture takers/makers. I certainly
love my Realist the best of all my 3D picture takers/makers. However, the
Argus/Loreo is something you can hang on your belt when you go fishing or
running or just hanging around, and you get results that may not be
artforms, but they bring pleasure and enjoyment to every day folks that
you are attempting to introduce to 3D.
I shot off a roll at a birthday party Saturday night for one of the
accountants in my office. Got the prints developed on Sunday at a 1-hour
D&P store and brought them in on Monday morning. Everyone had a ball
looking them over and discussing the recent event. My realist slides will
be back by this Thursday, and I will still have to cut and mount them
before I can show them off. The results will be extremely better, but my
audience will find the viewing experience to be a combersome exercise in
delayed gratification. Now as an old and experienced 3D nut, I know that
delayed gratification produces the most enduring and pleasing results
(Go's for other situations as well>. But, the Argus/Loreo is good for what
it is good for!
