Digital Cameras

Since we've talked about digital cameras here previously, I thought
I'd mention that the new issue of WIRED magazine has a survey about
digital photography by several experts. The general consensus is that
digital cameras will outsell traditional 35 mm units by 2004 or so (ie, 7
years from now). Also Kodak will shift from being (at least in the
retail marketplace) from being a film *supplier* to being a *print
processor* materials provider. 

There is also a little bit on 3d (in our sense) in the future, but I'll
leave you to buy the magazine (or someone else) to find that out
(since I don't want to infringe on any copyright which is a very
sensitive issue on campus here right now).
