I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but if you mean a semi-transparent
mirror coating, then I have to say no.  FWIF, mirror coatings do have to
be renewed periodically, although more costly coatings are highly
resistant to shifts in spectral properties and refective/transmissive
properties.  Such shifts may adversely affect the image quality.

BTW, a cheap source of good size beamsplitters is 35 mm microfilm
printer/viewer machines.  I salvaged a couple for free, one made by
Nikon!
