There are two-forms of scintillation in all Lenticular's, one is
from image line set's, the second is replay scintillation.

Scintillation and on print deviation are two separate factors.
Like many things in 3D imaging They are very closely related and
effect each other according to how they are handled. Most Lenticular
prints are of the discontinuous type, It's this discontinuity
of images that contributes more to scintillation than anything else.
Scintillation by it's strictest definition can be described as the
amount of disparity when translating from one *set* of viewed image
lines to an adjacent set. Comparing a discontinuous Lenticular with
a continuously imaged print, that have equal total on print deviation,
one will only see replay scintillation in the continuously imaged
print and both forms of scintillation in the discontinuous print.
Scanning Lenticular cameras have the ability to continuously
image a 3D Lenticular or this can be simulated by combining an
extraordinarily large number of discreet images per print.
