Visiting London

There seems to have been a certain amount of interest on P3D recently
regarding visiting London, so I had better come out of the closet
and declare myself.     I've lived on the outskirts of London for the last
50
years, and spent all my working life in the heart of the city, so I suppose
I know something about it.    More to the point, though, last year I was 
appointed the UK representative for the PSA with a special remit to
advise members on any travel queries they had when coming to England.

Life's too hectic for me even - or, especially - in retirement to be able
to
make this an open-ended commitment, but it would be churlish not to try
to help out any fellow P3D member who really needs advice on at least
the photographic aspects.    (Speaking personally,  I don't find London an
easy city in which to make exciting  3-D photos, but maybe familiarity has 
bred contempt.)        So if any list member has some really burning
questions
about 'The Great Wen' in the context of a forthcoming visit, I'd be happy
to
try to answer them if he/she contacts me off-list.

Incidentally, The Stereoscopic Society has monthly meetings at a location
in the centre of London on Saturday afternoons, September through April.
The March meeting is our annual auction, which is restricted to members
only (at least for buying and selling) but on 19 April we have the showing 
of our annual Members' Competition and anyone who happens to be in
London on that date is more than welcome to visit.    Again, contact me
off-list for more details.
