Polarized viewing of IMAX 3D

It is surprising that "L5..." is presented in La$ Vega$ using LCD shutter
glasses and the recently reported discomforts. In Vancouver, Canada, it is
presented as viewable with standard polarized glasses.
The film is remarkable in its impeccable digital compositing of computer-
graphics, models, and live-action -- all on the scale of a 5-story high
screen!
I never noticed any artifacts, pixel or edge-wise, and image-ghosting was at
a minimum. A really remarkable collaboration between the art designers,
computer artists and Noel Archambault, the long-time stereographer of Imax
3D films. I understand their current production involves 3D stereography of
electron-microscope subjects. If true, and delivered to a 5-story screen,
this
indeed changes the definition of 'holodeck'. L5: a highly recommended
viewing.
