Expensive Realist

Paul Talbot reported from San Francisco on the
Realist 3.5 being priced at $495. Well that is
the same camera and shop that I described in
a post to the list a few years ago. Believe
it or not the price was $795! They didn't give
me any explanation for the high price either.
Someone on the list suggested that they are
hoping to take in a tourist, possibly from
Japan, who doesn't realize how high the price
is. They DO know what it should cost, I told
them three years ago. 

Something to keep in mind when we vist other
countries, there could be shops trying to
take us to the cleaners.
