The only consumer-level, photorealistic Fuji I know of is the recently
marketed one, which is a dyesub.

Please define "extremely short".
What mechanism do you think degrades either in the dark? (I don't know
of any)
Finally, are you taking about prints right out of the machine, protected
by spray on UV blocking film or laminated with UV blocking laminate?
