Chuck, I took a Loreo to Switzerland, Germany, France, and Italy last
August. I had JUST gotten it in the mail and shot only a 12 exposure test
roll before leaving (I had also had NO previous experience with a 3D
camera). As long as you keep the "nosepiece" on you should be fine. The
camera just doesn't do well in anything other than the optimum lighting
conditions, though. I also brought my little Yashika T4 for 2D pictures.
Since both cameras are fairly small (the T4 was in a hip pack for quick
access) it wasn't a hassle. I would regret not taking ANY 3D pictures
though. I can't imagine if I hadn't had a 3D camera with me on that trip.
I actually just took in the rest of my pictures to have them developed (I
know its bad, but I had so many rolls...) last night. I actually had my
first roll of 3D film developed in Fussen Germany (not the 12 exposure
roll I took in the US...it sucked pretty bad...lots of reflections and not
much 3D effects) to make sure I was shooting it correctly. From that roll,
I found ~3 or 4 good to excellent pictures (considering my lack of 3D
composing experience) that made it easier to compose the rest of my 3D
pictures. I still don't have any of my 3D rolls from Ancient Rome,
Pompeii, or Capri. Guess I'll see how those look in a couple days. I do
have a really great picture of a dog near the Vatican. Its at ground level
and only ~3 feet away max. Its the best picture so far, and I merely
walked out a door, dropped the camera to the ground and clicked.

I just hope I can go back after I build this twin nikon setup...

Have fun!
