That's absolutely right. When lubrication is needed, use a very light oil
like sewing machine oil. DO NOT use WD-40 on small delicate things in
cameras or VCR's, etc. That would be a big mistake. The lighter oils
evaporate leaving a sticky gum behind making things worse than when you
started on it.
