Build your own rewind knob

I have had a theory on how to make it easier to rewind my film in the
Realist or Revere33. Since my pal Jamie seemed to need something ASAP I
desided to try out my idea. It worked! Well, actually it worked with my
Revere33, and to get it to work with the Realist might take a bit more work.

I used a substance called Friendly Plastic. It can be found in many craft
stores. You put some of the plastic in a bowl, and pour almost boiling hot
water on it. It melts, then you pour the water out of the bowl, and quickly
wrap some of the plastic aroun the rewind knob of your camera, making sure
that you don't make it so thick that the knob won't be able to turn. That
is the problem I had with the Realist, its knob is to close to another part
of the camera to make this easy. Once you have wrapped the plastic, then
you make sure that it is covering the top of the knob as well, and sculpt a
handle at the top, making sure that the handle is not obstructed by any
other part of the camera. Then wait for the plastic to cool, and carefully
remove it. You should now have a Snap On Rewind Turner Helper
Mechanism(TM). I know that my trade marked name for this spells out
S.O.R.T.H.M (sore thumb), but that is exactly what you won't have if you
use it! This isn't a joke, I have just tried it out today, but of course I
have no idea if the plastic could do anything bad to the camera, and you
could try it with some other sort of modelling compound (like super sculpy),
but I am warning you that I don't take any responsibility for any damage to
your camera or any thing else. Please try at your own risk. I did get a
bit of the warm water onto the camera, but I dried it immediatly.
