The software developed by New Vision and a couple of other people working
in the field is probably not going to become public for a couple of
reasons: 1) its proprietary stuff, and these guys have a vested interest in
not having every Tom, Dick and Harry with a computer competing with them,
and 2) it's not really magical software that takes a picture and converts
into into 3D, but merely a tool to help in that process. The real work is
still 90% man-made and 10% computer-aided. In other words, even if you had
Bob's software, you probably wouldn't be any further along than you are
right now.
