You describe in perfect detail a Pulfrich setup. Depth in static shots could be
caused by either appropriate movement within the shot (the camera itself does
not HAVE to be moving, although that is the most common situation), or simply
from the viewer's suggestibility after having seen several shots in which depth
illusion was particularly good. At least it sound as though the tape was
assembled with a conscious effort to exploit the Pulfrich effect, which some of
them are not.
