Gabriel, "when changed" is a long transition period... Chaning the viewer
eye spacing is not the solution.  The entire system needs a redisign to
reduce the spacing of the chips in a reel.  Considering the hassle and
compatibility issues, it's no surprise that it was never changed.  Besides,
such change would have made 3d possible for childddren but difficult for
adddults... and it is the adults that carry the wallet. :-)
