Honeywell Repronar advice

Hi all,
I lucked in today (I think) and picked up a Honeywell Repronar slide
duplicator at a local camera swap. It seems to work but it's missing
the gauge/guide on the left side of the central column. Does anyone
know how integral this gauge is to the settings of the machine? Also,
the manual is missing the nomenclature list, making it difficult to
identify some of the parts (like where is the filter holder?). I've
searched the archives and noticed that some of you do use this for
Realist/Viewmaster slide duplication. Any advice on
filters/film/settings to use for E-6? Has anyone used it to duplicate
Scala? What film/filters did you use for that? Do you have to take
the film out of the Realist mount and slip it into a 2x2 or can you
dupe right from the mount? Any help would be mightily appreciated!
Thanks,
Don
