In an article titled "Optimized Monitor Photography" that appeared in the
Journal USA Microscopy and Analysis (July '96, p. 25) the authors recommend
using long focal length fixed lenses (135 mm or 200 mm) to reduce
distortion due to the non-flatness of the screen, and make the illumination
more uniform. A SASE will bring you a copy of the article.
