I would recomend to all 3-D fans out in the world to avoid any product
claiming to make a 2-D image 3-D automaticly! This is something that is
claimed on a regular basis, but so far people have only been ripped off. I
don't recal if it is the same product, but I believe the name sounds like it
could be, but at SIGGRAPH last year, I saw a device that used flicker LC
type glasses with a $2thousand box that "made any videogame or tv show 3-D".
It was a piece of crap! All it did was shift the entire 2-D image for one
eye, and interleave it so that the glasses would show the entire 2-D image
behind the screen which seemed like about an inch. I wouldn't pay $8 for
something that did that, let aloan $800, or $2k, or even $60. If I ever
decide to rip off a bunch of people using 3-D, remind me to charge such a
rediculous amount, that people are bound to think it must work. Maybe I
will sell a device that uses a memory buffer to capture a second a head of
video, and then uses flicker glasses to put the delayed image together with
the current image, allowing you to see Pulphric videos with out wearing
those "silly cardboard glasses". Instead, it would use a multi-thousand
dollar box, and $50 LCS glasses. I have a pattent on this pottensial money
fleecing device, so I will sue anyone that uses this idea to rip people off,
before I do. Oh yah, I almost forgot, you can view any tv or video game in
3-D with this device(just do get upset if it only works with foot ball games
or car races, and not consistantly, and don't remember that you could do the
same thing without this set up just by holding one half of a pair of
sunglasses over one eye.) Maybe I should sell a book for thousands of
dollars that will teach people how to see Pulphric without using glasses. I
will call the Book, "Winking your way to 3-D". Maybe if I am lucky, someone
will start acult using my book as its bible!
