Film, of course is important. But more important is
the end results, stereo cards/stereo slides, and their use.

How about a few statistics showing the use of these end product?

                                 1996

Stereographs published in national magazines - 15

Stereographs displayed in one man/woman stereo exhibitions - 120
(A display of the first 120 of my ongoing project "Personalities
and Places " went on display at Columbus State University in
November and will be there until July 1997)

Stereo postal folios, each requiring a new entry, handled - 73

International stereo circuits organized - 1
(The North America-Germany Stereo Card Circuit
was organized in the fall of 1996 and has just completed
it's first round}

International Stereo Exhibitions organized - 1
The lst SSA International Stereo Card Exhibition was organized
and conducted last year. However it was a joint effort between
PD3 Dick Twichell and myself so I guess I should only get
one half a point for that)

Stereographic programs/demonstrations at local schools - 3

Televisions appearances to promote stereography - 1

I am not sure how many rolls of film I went thru the past year. I
do know that since I got started in stereo in 1974 I have shot
7 rolls of color negatives in stereo, but have about 7644 pairs
in black and white still to print. I do shoot an occasional roll
of slide film so I participate in two slide circuits and an occasional
international stereo exhibition.

I hope I have inspired some others to list some statistics other than
number of rolls of film put through their cameras. FILM IS IMPORTANT
BUT IT IS THE CHEAPEST PART OF THE WHOLE PROCESS.

i have been selected as one of four adult "ambassadors" to represent
the City of Columbus on a two week trip to our sister city in Japan,
Kiryu.
Who knows, I might even shoot another roll of color negative film on the
trip.
