AND YOU GUYS THOUGHT THAT DR. T DOES NOT HAVE A LIFE???? :)))))
(Just a reminder... going over one of these stereo postal folios
requires at least one evening... That means Bill had at least
73 evenings occupied just with postal folios!!!)
Bill, you are truly an inspiration for the rest of us...
I think one important difference between you and I is that you
are a man with a mission _within_ the stereoscopic society.
Your mission is to promote a stereo prints and B&W photography.
I, on the other hand, am working on the majority side. There
is no need to promote stereo slides within the stereoscopic
crowd because stereo slides is the medium of choice. However,
I do work to promote stereo photography to the outside world
and I think our Cleveland stereo club is one way to do it
at a local level. When we start this club we will think about
organizing Stereo Exhibitions and work out programs to promote
stereo to schools, etc. (But our chances to appear on TV are
rather slim... :))
I am personally looking forward to retirement because my day
job is stealing my most productive hours from 3d... Only after
I retire I would be able to put that much efford to 3d...
My personal record in final use of pictures:
- Stereographs published in national magazines - 0
- Stereo slides entered in postal folios handled (est.) - 40
- Stereo slides entered and projected in Detroit - 32
(17 of those won 1st, 2nd or 3d place)
- Stereo slides entered in International PSA exhibitions - 44
- Stereo slides accepted in those exhibitions - 27
(5 won various awards)
- Many slides shared with others on one to one basis
- No public presentantions, etc., yet.
>FILM IS IMPORTANT BUT IT IS THE CHEAPEST PART OF THE WHOLE PROCESS.
That's true...
... especially for those who mount their slides in RBT mounts :)))))
