eventually switch to LCD projectors, but that's the future.

*Correct information*???!!! That's blatant opinion making... I take *medium
of choice* to be one's personal favorite medium or that which one has the
tools to handle, no matter what format one might use for display to others.
Dan was trying to keep the channels open for newbies to try several mediums
rather than assuming, based on some P3D discussions, that slides are the
only way to go...
For many newbies that may not be the easiest way to start. Many will find
prints more accessible and require less expenditure for equipment. For
others slides will be most appropriate. I have to think that today's
stereographer, besides being terminally opppinionated, is interested in
trying most genuine stereo techniques. We have the benefit of past
developments and a whole range of new tools arriving on the scene.
Personally I tend to like freeviewed cross-eyed pairs from prints as my
medium of choice. The reason? There are no cumbersome viewing devices or
circumstances required. Crossed viewing allows easy instant access to even
very large images. One can even enlarge stereo pairs to 24x36 in. prints and
hang them side by side on the wall (or billboard sized enlargements for that
matter). Slides always require a viewer/projector unless one is happy with
freeviewing the slides themselves, but I find that a little on the small
side. I DO LIKE SLIDES, but other factors influence my *medium of choice.*
