Was there some discussion in this group a while back about a book 
called"Wonders of the Stereoscope"?.  There was a copy of this book in 
the Magic Lantern society convention auction about a week ago. The 
original price was still on which was 12.50 sterling so it could not be 
older than 1970/71 and was published 100 years after the heyday of 
stereo (when would that be ) .It consisted of two books in a slip case 
one of text and the other stereo pairs with a plastic viewer ,I have a 
feeling it was available
new quite recently and may even be still in print. At the auction it

Distributed by Random House, New York. 1976. 126 pages.
Illustrated (some color) ; 48 stereoscope cards with viewer in 2 volume
container. 

This price info was from some sale somewhere, about a year or two ago. 
So, based on my rough UK to US money conversion, the winner got the 
book for just about the right price. Amazing how some thing appreciate 
in value in such a small amount of time...
