CLEVELAND - 2 Weeks Left!!!
Only 2 weeks (exactly) left for the historic event of the FIRST meeting of
the CLEVELAND Stereo Club. The meeting is on Tuesday May 6th at LTV
Technology Center in Independence, just South of Cleveland (Email for
directions). We start at 7:30 pm.
im Motley is busy mailing the information to some 300 people, whose
addresses were graciously given to us by REEL-3D. I am busy preparing my
FIRST public stereo presentation. I plan to start with a few overheads,
answering the following questions:
1. What is Stereo Photography? (basic definitions)
2. How old is Stereo Photography? (a bit of history)
3. What's involved and how does it compare to 2D photography?
4. What can be done in Stereo?
After this short 2D presentation, we'll turn ON the 750W bulbs of the TDC
116 and we'll let the stereo images fill our 70" lenticular screen! The 3D
presentation will focus on the different tools and techniques and examples
of what can be done with them in STEREO. This should be a fine
presentation, of great value especially for beginners and those who want to
learn the basics and beyond of stereo photography. A good overview for the
more experienced stereo photographers too. If you can get to Cleveland
that day, don't miss this opportunity!
The second part of the meeting will deal with club issues. Fundamental
stuff like, what is the name going to be, officers, meetings, agenda,
objectives, etc. I just got Newsletters from In-Depth, the stereo club of
New Jersey, that Bruce Rosenberger so generously donated, and was impressed
by the quality and contents! Something to use as a model.
If you would like to write and share ideas, ask questions about the club or
just wish us good luck, you can contact us at:
