NSA Convention travel update

There has been quite a lot of airfare turbulence of late, but, sorry to
say, "bargains" to Seattle have been nonexistent. If you are determined
to go to the NSA convention in Bellevue, my advice would be to buy
during the current sale--although not all markets currently have reduced
fares to Seattle. For example, fares from Austin, which last week
briefly went to $364 have returned for now to $276 (but not on all
airlines); however, fares from Dallas, which were $276 last week are
now back around $330.

Fares from Columbus are currently $248, about $60 less than from Cinci,
about $130 less than from Cleveland, and an eye-popping $271 less than
from nearby Pittsburgh. There are some $284 fares from Baltimore, far
cheaper than from Philly or DC, but you will have to be flexible in your
travel dates and times to snag a seat at that price.

If you live near Providence, consider driving to Boston to save $100, or
better yet, fly from Providence to Baltimore first and save $150 (if you
can get one of those low fares from BWI)!

Two airlines have a $258 fare from Orlando to Seattle, but the others
are not matching it.

For tips on your personal NSA travel situation, feel free to contact me
off-list. (This is a non-commercial posting; I am not a travel agent.)
