There's also something I think is called Dark Vergence. That is the
natural resting point of the eyes when there is no stereoscopic visual
stimulus. I believe this to be related to the make up of an individual's
eye muscles. Tighter muscles in one direction will cause the person's
dark vergence to be slightly crossed and tighter muscles in the other
direction will cause the person's dark vergence to tend towards
divergence.

I think there is also something called Dark Accomodation.
Maybe the relationship of a person's dark vergence to dark accommodation
will have a link to whether a person is exophoric or esophoric.

Considering the value of dark vergence varies between individuals,
I believe it is a misnomer to use the term "relaxed" when referring
to the parallel view technique. For some indeed it will be relaxing
but for others it will be straining.

A Poll? Very good idea but maybe not with everyone posting to photo-3d.

Gabriel: do you wish to collate?

Me? I prefer cross-eyed.

Andrew Woods.
