LCDBIOS is not used by all systems. Particularly VRex doesn't use it.
An argument for using LCD is that it does accurately point to the technology
type from which the glasses are built.

Interlaced stereo images are still actively used by several companies and
their systems require that type of image. VRex builds their system to
support both page flipping and interlacing. The loss inherent to a JPEG file
will degrade the performance of an interlaced image, at higher compressions.
The convenience of JPG is still a strong value.
The Total3D system which Dan and I both have, uses page flipping so it's JPS
images aren't interlaced. VRex will have or does have a system that will
automatically interlace as needed from a whole complete JPS image. Other
systems will probably do something similar in the future, even if they
require interlaced now. The JPS format is not used for interlacing.
