Yes, I had a VMP once with this problem. On mine, however, it happened
only about one time in four. I imagined that it was a worn/broken
tooth on a gear or pawl, but I don't actually know.
In my case, I found that if I wound on very gently each time, I
could actually feel the stop OK and it wouldn't skip. The camera was
perfectly useable in this fashion. You could to experiment along these
lines without a film in the camera.
I vaguely recollect that Dalia has a source for VM repairs - you might
want to contact her. I believe she's away right now and may not pick
up on this immediately from the list.
