Another thing to try is to lie horizontal close to a window with
partly open Venetian blinds. If the slats are small enough (mini
-blinds) you can fuse adjacent slats, alternate slats, next-but-two
etc, with different effects each time (if you are having physiotherapy,
it sure helps to pass the time).
