I cannot believe I actually have an opinion about this!!!!!!

As someone correctly pointed out, there will be people who will use the
wrong configuration, wondering why 3D looks so bad, without occurring to
them to reverse the glasses!

I've seen it and it happens all the time. Whenever I see anaglyph and it
does not work well, my first reaction is to reverse the glasses. BUT I
have seen people who just stare at the anaglyph (picture, film) with the
wrong glasses and many of them would bet that they are seeing stereo!!!
Heck, I have seen people reverse mount prints and slides and pretending
to be enjoying the (totally confusing and totally WRONG) stereo effect!

There are unwritten standards that people follow and this is good for all
of us. Anyone who refuses to follow the conventional standards (for
apparently no good reason) should be questioned (or bitched at).

That's the way it works, folks.

BTW, don't forget the first meeting of the CLEVELAND STEREO CLUB in 4 days.
WE will follow the CORRECT convention in placing the POLARIZERS in our
stereo projector!!!! Anybody who does not like it, can leave the meeting
and go to Wendys for a hamburger...
