I do not know Dennis... Last night (well, morning... went to bed at 7:00 am
to wake up at 10:00 am) I took apart and snapped back together quite a few
RBT mounts, some of them 4-5 times and did not break a single pin.  I held
a pair of tweezers (which I use to slide the little registration pins) and
used them to start separating the RBTs from one side, then move to the other
and quickly all the way around until it is separated.  I do not try to
force it open from only one side which will put a lot of stress and will
end up in wrappage and breaking pins.  Is that how you do it?

I still wonder if a version of plastic mounts can be made thinner and
cheaper... It has been done in the past.  that would be great choice for
everyday mounting for many of us...
