Opening RBT mounts

the secret? or what am I doing wrong?<<
The easiest method to separate the RBT mounts for me is as follows:
I hold the mount in my left hand (I am right handed) then insert the lower
left edge of my right thumbnail into the top center slot (little
indentations provided on the top/bottom and side edges, probably for this
purpose) between the two halves of the RBT mounts. Then I skillfully :-)
slide my thumb nail between the two halves, turning the mount deftly
counterclockwise in my left fingers as I go, simultaneously rocking my
right thumbnail back-and-forth to further widen the gap between halves, as
I travel the entire circumference. Once I return to the starting point, it
is simply a matter of making one more revolution and increasing the prying
action of the thumbnail between each half of the mount, with extra emphasis
on the points where the tabs are inserted. A few extra gentle nudges to the
remaining contact points (gently of course) and voila! the deed is done.
I do, on occasion, use other digits and their attached nails to complete
the job. I can proudly proclaim that the patented "Braddd RBT Separational
Methoddd" has only cost one broken tab in the separation of more than 350
mounts, and no broken thumbnails (My mounts are received white-to-white and
black-to-black so it is required to separate all mounts before proceeding)
It does require, however, sturdy nails and does cause occasional
"post-separation digital discomfort". This method works best if at least
1.79mm of thumbnail protrudes beyond the quick. :-)
Man! Is this list eclectic or what?
