With that particular slide (which was generally dark and flash-lit toward
the upper features) it was difficult to see the cut-off, even in my
Themelized red-button. Background was black, as are the edges inside
of the viewer. I'm sure it'd jump out if George looked at it, but
I guess my eyes are still too klutzy.

I certainly agree to that.

P.S. - For locals: the particular slide I'm talking about is the one with
a scarecrow taken in Vegas's MGM Grand yellow brick road. Of
course, chopping the waist of a strawman might be acceptable. :-)
P.P.S. - In my new house I've room (I think) for projection in my
"hobby room" so I may be able to check things out w/o having
to terrorize the dining/living area like I had to in my
previous home. I may be able to start bringing slides to my
stereo club again (they are projected there). I *want* to
projection-test them first even if 90% of the time my mounting
is correct anyway. I want it to be horrible because of my
photographic skill, not because I didn't check it out first. :-)
