Telephoto Lenses

Help! I've had good experiences using wide-angle lenses on my stereo camera, 
but now that I'm testing out the telephoto lenses I'm getting extreme 
vignetting. I am currently using a pair of 37mm telephoto lenses.
Has anyone had any experience with this problem? Would stepping up to a pair 
of 49mm help the problem?
