Re Spondon Splitter

I wrote about the Spondon device on this group some time and replied
privately to some one who wanted the information for a list of stereo
supplies. As I understand it it is not quite the same sort of device as the
Elmo etc being a "true" beamsplitter or rather beam combiner. It is an
anaglyph device the two images pass through filters before being
superimposed with a semi-silvered mirror onto a full frame colour film or
video. So it is a single projector device and does not even require fitting
to the projector I have not seen it in action and do not know if it also
attempts to retain colour by using for instance Cyan rather than green in
combination with red. Even if it does do this I doubt that it is very
effective in retaining colour from what I have read the stereo is quite
effective for film anyway I am not so shure about video.
