The search engines might not turn up any hits but if you check out
some of the bookstore databases on the net you'll find quite a resourse
of information. For example you might like to try the following link at
http://www.amazon.com

They have quite a big listing of books on hand and bigger database
with books that they most likely don't have, but still keep in their
database. In anycase their database will report the status of the
book.
