I don't think anyone is doing them at the moment, but it's relatively
straight forward. The most difficult part is making the new shutter
blades. Instead of having four shaped holes, they have to have two, 36mm
apart. I have made them using brass shim and using a standard one as a
pattern for the shape. (Big tip, here. Glue two pieces of brass together
and cut through to make two blades at the same time. The holes are
mirror images, and this method makes sure they "register")

The biggest problem with the "Burdlo" configuration, is not the lens
coverage - those lenses will happily cover full frame. It's that the
shutter blades behind the lenses shade the light beam when stopped down,
and cause vignetting. You'll rarely get more than Realist format of
usable chip because of this.

Solution? The "Bobslo 50" as used by Derek Merfield for most of his
international acceptances in recent years. This is a Nimslo modified to
yield 25mm square chips with 50mm lens separation. 1-and-4 wind gives 25
pairs per film. Few will tell the projected results from Custom Realist
slides.
