I'll have to weigh in with you on this one. Selective focus can be
a powerful tool in 3D, perhaps even more so than in flatty
photography. In 3D, viewers simply will not spend much time exploring
areas that are in soft-focus -- the sharp areas are too compelling.
When I first started reading this list I followed the "everything
sharp" rule slave-ishly (sp?). But I've since decided that exceptions
to this rule can be quite effective. In fact, I find it difficult to
get some things soft enough, even with the 2.8 Realist!
Just my opinion, of course ...
