despite using the same indicated exposure settings.  This precisely
is the reason no one should rely on another user's observations (or
for that matter, the ISO rating) as to what EI to use for a particular
slide film.  (Obviously less critical for negatives.)  Accurate
exposure is highly dependent on the film/camera/viewing combination,
and will likely vary any time any of the three is changed.  This also
is why Sunny-16 should not be blindly used for slide film; it too must
first be calibrated to the taking and viewing equipment.  Before
evaluating the new Astia film vs. Provia, Bob Shell of Shutterbug
used a flash system that allowed 1/10 stop exposure variation to
determine the correct EI for his setup.  I'm surprised DrT attempted
to compare cameras without first running 1/3 stop EI tests for each.
