Sam Smith and others couldn't find the "totem pole like" camera logo so I
moved it back - up right under the girl holding the V-M camera. For
whatever it's worth, I had no trouble clicking on it. The direct site
address is http://www.3dstereo.com/nsa.htm. If anyone still has trouble,
please let me know, since I tried it and it worked, but it also worked for
me before and not for others.

Sam requests more info about the '97 convention as Bill Davis gave us last
year - a sort of minute by minute description of the pre-convention news. I
myself felt that BIll's info made the upcoming convention more exciting. It
was a good build-up.

Here's the problem -- we don't have Bill Davis this year. In fact, each
year's NSA convention is like starting all over again. Usually, the
committee people have never had any experience in running a NSA convention.
Some have never been to one. Mary Ann is working on a "manual" to help the
new convention committe in getting over some of the hurdles. But I feel
that it just isn't enough. A reference book is excellent but there's
something immediate and direct about addressing your concern to a person who
has had some experience.

I feel that NSA needs a PERMANENT convention coordinator. A person who will
be there year after year to help each new convention committee with its own
unique set of concerns. Who will promote the convention via all media.

Then, this Convention Coordinator will take care of a website for convention
information as part of the job.

Since there are several board members on this list, perhaps this idea will
be considered at the next Board meeting. It's an idea whose time has come.
