For a great example of viewing interlaced 3D image information (without the
glasses) visit the Stereography Magazine Website. Remember that on your
computer screen this displacement of stereo information is perhaps a
stronger effect than on a TV. Step back a few feet to simulate your TV
somewhat. It is noticeable.

The closer to flat the image is, the less noticeable the image displacement
becomes. If your reason for wanting 3D is at least partially for it's depth
effect, using a flat form of 3d isn't quite the answer.

While watching a 3D video tape recently, a person walked in the room who
didn't know what was happening. They immediately asked, *what's wrong with
that channel?* I don't suppose that's a desirable response from the public
on anyone's part if 3D is to be accepted and used.

Has anyone on this list tried the system which creates a stereo image from
motion parallax in a video stream? It's a 2D source image so it would appear
normal to anyone who didn't have the special 3D viewing equipment. My
expectation is that it would work well slightly more often than Pulfrich
glasses.
