Make sure the film advance is working properly before buying a Verascope,
also check the shutter. They have a tendency to have clutch problems so
wind a dummy roll of 36 through it first and make sure it doesn't bind up
part way through the roll. The shutters aren't bad but the seal against
dirt is not that great. Have the two your looking at been serviced? If not
the lenses may need cleaning as well, they tend to get a bit hazy inside
from age but it is fairly simple to clean them. Other than that they are
built like tanks and should last a very long time.
