Well, I think the mystery is solved! I checked your left and right pictures
that you put up and yes indeed they are as you stated. :-) Left image is
indeed the left image and right is the right image. Parallel viewing them
results in the proper stereoscopic viewing.

Yes, after you did the above, it is now correct. That is the converted image
you describe above and put on your web page is now correctly oriented with
red on left and non of that pseudo stuff! ;-) Now, the big question is why
was the image not correct IF you followed Bob's tutorial to the letter.
See below.
>So, please let me know if the new anaglyph on the right is in fact correct,

Well the only thing left to do, was to check out the instructions on Bob's
web page, to see if there was anything wrong. After reading it I think I
finally solved the mystery! You did follow Bob's instructions pretty well,
except for one minor point! Very easy one to make. Bob's instructions are
for cross-eyed images, so that means, his left image is really your right
image!
I don't know if I should elaborate, but for those that are not sure
on the concept, will explain. In your orientation, you had the left
image on the left and right on right. In this arrangement, the only
proper way to view them is parallel (or with lens viewer). If the
images were arranged vice-versa, that is left image taken on the right
and right image taken on the left, then the proper way to view them
is cross-eyed. That's the way Bob has them on his anaglyph how-to page.
So actually his instructions are correct. I can see how its very easy
to make a mistake though. Anyways I think the mystery is finally solved.
CASE CLOSED???
