they haven't heard a thing about the convention which is just a few weeks
away. I mentioned the information about not getting news coverage due to the
date, and the immediate question was, *why not seek some publicity or some
kind of announcement well in advance? That way folks with some interest will
know about it and can make plans to attend.  Waiting till the weekend itself
is kind of late for the typical July 4th holiday plans.* The opinion was
then put forward that folks are looking for something new and interesting to
do over the 4th, snce it's a family get together kind of time. Their choices
are sitting around talking to relatives, or going out to find what's
happening. This convention is one of those happenings! They might be
delighted to hear about it.

The media folks did say *any other weekend*?.....
