I saw the new Hugh de Wijs viewer in the Netherlands at the recent
International Stereo Association conference which I was fortunate enough to
be able to attend. It was an outstanding conference and I strongly
recommend for anyone to be able to go in two years to the next one, which I
believe I heard will be in Germany. Hugo de Wijs' entire life and work was
featured in a special exhibit (he organized the first ISA conference in the
Netherlands in the mid- 1970's.). His new viewer is not for medium format
(65, 70, or 120 mm film) cameras, but rather for the smaller Viewmaster
type reels. Noone in Europe at the ISA conference I spoke to (and these
were many of the world experts) knows of any viewer on the market today or
previously for medium format (70 mm x 70 mm) slides. I am interested in
finding one, if anyone knows of such.
