Re: Stereo Club membership

Bill Walton makes the point how the enthusiasm of the members of a stereo
club is more important than the number of the members.
I agree that enthusiasm is important. But if this enthusiasm is put to
good work then the membership will grow. We have examples of stereo clubs
whose membership declined until they closed and examples of clubs which are
flourishing. It is more than a geographic location issue. Large numbers
in stereo club participation reflect an enthusiastic base and good
organization.
Jamie certainly does not need many people to start the club. But he needs
to work to get people to join and participate. He needs to work to get a
solid membership. Knowing Jamie, I don't doubt that he will succeed if he
decides to go ahead with his plans.

PS. I am certainly the last person to be lectured about enthusiasm :-)
Bill, I beat you with your 116 miles drive vs. 180 miles mine... Plus,
there are not many people who attend TWO Stereo Clubs.
