If you have not yet made plans to attend the banquet at this year's NSA
convention please do so at once!!! The guest speaker is one you will
not want to miss...David G. Hitchcock from View-Master.

Dave started out with VM in 1951 at Stereocraft Engineering where he
was foreman of the VM Personal camera assembly line. He went on to
test almost every stereo camera made in the 1950's because it was part
of his job to "analyze" the competition. He was also very involved with
Personal camera accessories (close-up lenses, Stereomatic 500 projector,
Model D focusing viewer, etc.)and their development.

Later he stayed with the company under the Sawyers banner and became
head of the company's model & test lab. Here they designed and trouble
shooted new viewers, projectors, etc.

He became director of Quality Control under GAF, overseeing all aspects
of this process. Later he went on to oversee U.S. and foreign toy
production with View-Master/Ideal.

Retired in 1989, he maintains an active interest in everything stereo
and can trouble shoot most stereo camera problems and ALL VM Personal
and TDC Vivid problems.

He's the only person I know that could fix a View-Master Personal with
a nickel and a Coke bottle!

If you don't have a ticket yet...get one!!! Unlike Bill Ewald's speech
last year, you will only be able to see and hear Dave if you attend the
banquet!!! Slides depicting some rare prototype equipment will
accompany his speech.

See all of you in Bellevue...

Mary Ann Sell
NSA Vice President
