Bridge to Photograph

For a bridge subject, may I suggest the New River Gorge Bridge on US 19
at Fayetteville in southern West Virginia.  It is the world's longest
single-arch steel bridge, 3030 ft long and 876 feet above the New River.
There is a nearby visitor's center with a good view of the bridge and
there is access to the river below for a worm's eye view.  (Whitewater
rafting is popular here during the summer and may be of interest.)
     On the third Saturday in October, two lanes of the bridge are
closed to vehicles and people are allowed to walk on the bridge. 
Jumpers
from all over come here to parachute into the gorge.  A festive occasion
with thousands of people.
