Actually it wos the 48 fps version I had in mind.  I was wishing for
stereo, large format at *72 fps*.  Greedy huh?

Sure it will burn loads of film, but I'd be in the front row like this:-

BTW, the reference to shredding the film was based on a documentary I saw
years ago about the development of Imax.  Apparently stopping and starting
that big film for every frame tore the sproket holes off like a postage
stamp.  They had to put a slack loop in fore and aft so that they could
just stop the one frame and leave the rest running at a constant speed.
