Very good observation, Mike!  Just this afternoon I was experimenting
with trying to block my peripheral vision while looking in the RB
viewer.  But it seems to require three hands to do that and press
the button to light the viewer at the same time!  As the post I
sent a few minutes ago suggests, I think peripheral vision has a
lot to do with blocking a real "being there" effect.  An advantage
of having tunnel vision?? ;)
