Wedding pictures

No offense intended, but at both my son's wedding and others I attended
during the same period people displayed the same behavior.  So, yes, I
guess you would have to say I know about what I witnessed, though
obviously I was not at the wedding you referenced.
    There is/should be a middle ground of accommodation here.  I don't
think the contract photographer should be pushy either; I especially
don't like the idea of a pro having exclusive photo rights to shoot
a wedding and exclude others.  I don't think that's too common, but I
have heard of it happening.
     As I said, I spoke with the photographer at my son's wedding
(I wasn't paying for the pictures he shot; the bride's mother took
care of that) and for me there was an unspoken "work together"
feeling whenever we were shooting the same scene.
     The problem of slave lights complicates things, no doubt.  Hope
some of your shots worked.
